As the number of schools using our services is growing all the time, we are looking to recruit teaching assistants who are looking to work in a more flexible way in the local area.
This could be an excellent way of continuing to do the job you love, but with added flexibility and the freedom to choose the days you work giving you the opportunity to gain a bit more work/life balance.

As a supply teaching assistant, you will usually be covering for an absent member of staff for a short block of time, from a few days to a term or more. It’s therefore really important that you are happy to be flexible in the role that you are undertaking and willing to assist the teacher you are working with. You could be working on a 121 basis with a named child, or working with a small group of children in the classroom – the role really varies and is dependent on what a school are looking for at that time.

Whilst experience of working as a teaching assistant would be highly desirable, some of our schools would be interested in seeing candidates who have recent relevant experience of working with children, perhaps through working as a Social Worker or in a Childcare setting. Whatever your level of experience, the ability to build relationships with children and staff members is essential, and you should be genuinely passionate about making a difference to those children you are working with, whether you are there for a day, a week or on a more permanent basis.

CV Education is not a big national company, we are an independent company who genuinely care about the welfare of everyone who works with us and we are always available to speak to you, whether that’s to have a chat about your day or discuss something that you’re unsure or concerned about. You will be paid weekly on a PAYE basis, and we are proud of the fact that we are helping you to do a job you love in a way that is right for you.

We don’t just do temporary teaching assistant work, but are also working with a number of schools who are looking for staff on a longer term basis, so if you are considering a new role for September 2019 or January 2020, please do give us a call on 01780 723160 and we’d love to chat more.
